SEPTA is preparing to introduce its new, modern fare payment and collection system, SEPTA Key. This allows adults age 65+ to ride free on all SEPTA transit services and for $1 on Regional Rail lines. Senior riders can register and have their picture taken for the SEPTA Key Senior ID card. Call PA State Representative Duane Milne's office at 610-251-1070 to make an appointment. SEPTA Key cards will be mailed at a later date.

Senator McGarrigleProtect Yourself, Protect Your Money with Senator McGarrigle

Senator McGarrigle will be at the Easttown Library to meet local constituents, help them take steps to protect their identity and financial assets, and learn the keys to making good decisions in the financial marketplace. Adam Haines, a pianist and contemporary composer, lives to inspire his audiences and students with music. His compositions are introspective and evoke emotion. He has released two albums of original compositions: Divine Whispers (2005) and Intersessions (2016). Adam teaches music in the T/E School District, serves as the Organist and Director of Music at Arch Street United Methodist Church in Center City and is the founder of Mobile Music.

Easttown Library presents the Fourth Annual Barbara Robinson lecture, featuring local author/illustrator Brian Biggs. We are proud to welcome Brian Biggs, the author and illustrator of many books for kids, including the Tinyville Town books, the New York Times bestselling Frank Einstein series (written by Jon Scieszka), and Everything Goes. He is known for his distinctive style, with thick, rough outlines and his bright digital coloring. Biggs (a.k.a Mr. Biggs) will share his experience as a book author and illustrator and show the audience how he creates the illustrations for his picture books. 

Chester County Planning Commission Survey
The Chester County Planning Commission released a public survey in an effort to gather additional input from the public about the development of Landscapes3, the county's next comprehensive plan. The survey seeks to gather feedback on several issues, including growth, open space and environment, sense of place, modern infrastructure, transportation, the economy, healthy lifestyles, and housing options. Easttown Library is Looking for Teen Volunteers for the Summer!
We are looking for enthusiastic library users who enjoy working with young children and are willing to help out in the Youth Services Department. Volunteers must be able to commit to scheduled times during the eight weeks of summer reading (June 19th - August 18th). All returning volunteers (up to the age of 17) and students entering 9th -12th grades are welcome. If you are interested in volunteering this summer, you must attend one of our orientation sessions:

  • Friday, May 19th at 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 23rd at 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 25th at 5 p.m.

Easttown Library Now has Museum Passes & Hotspots!
Easttown Library now offers museum passes and mobile hotspots for check-out. Museum passes and hotspots can be reserved online through our website up to 60 days in advance.
